Aṣé Perfumes (“we”, “our”) operates aseperfumes.ae from the United Arab Emirates. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal data when you visit our website, place an order, or contact us. It is written to comply with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and the data-protection provisions of Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection, under which we must protect the privacy and security of consumer data and may not use it for promotional or marketing purposes without your consent.

1. What we collect

  • Identity & contact details — name, delivery and billing address, phone number, email address.
  • Order details — the products you buy, order history, delivery information and invoices.
  • Payment information — processed securely by our payment providers; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Device & usage data — IP address, browser and device type, and how you navigate our site, collected via cookies and similar technologies.
  • Communications — messages you send us by email, phone or social media.

2. Why we use it (and our legal basis)

  • To fulfil your order — processing payment, delivery, invoicing, returns and warranty service (performance of a contract).
  • To operate and protect our store — security, fraud prevention, fixing errors, improving the website (legitimate interest / legal obligation).
  • To comply with the law — tax, accounting and consumer-protection obligations, and responding to lawful requests from UAE authorities.
  • Marketing — only with your consent. We send promotional emails or messages only if you have opted in, and you can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message or by emailing us. We comply with the UAE Telemarketing Regulations (Cabinet Resolution No. 56 of 2024) for any marketing calls.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who need it to serve you, under appropriate safeguards:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and processes data on our behalf (see the Shopify Privacy Policy);
  • payment processors to take payment securely;
  • delivery companies to ship your order;
  • authorities where UAE law requires disclosure.

4. International transfers

Our hosting and payment providers may store or process data outside the UAE. Where personal data is transferred abroad, we do so in accordance with the PDPL, using providers that offer an adequate level of data protection or appropriate contractual safeguards.

5. How long we keep it

We keep order and invoice records for as long as UAE tax and commercial law requires, account data while your account is active, and marketing data until you withdraw consent. Data no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights

Under the PDPL you have the right to:

  • request access to the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy in a readable format;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion of your data where there is no legal reason for us to keep it;
  • object to or ask us to restrict certain processing, including any processing for direct marketing;
  • withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent;
  • request transfer of your data to another provider where technically feasible.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@aseperfumes.ae. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the timeframe required by law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office, the federal data protection authority.

7. Cookies

Our site uses cookies that are necessary for the shop to function (cart, checkout, security) and, where you allow them, analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent checkout from working.

8. Children

Our website and products are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), PCI-compliant payment processing, and access controls limiting who can view customer information.
